TV Mounting Installer Jobs in Spring, TX (77379)

EVOTECH IT LLC runs a steady display-mounting route through Spring and the Klein and Champions area. If you install for a living and you want assignments that repeat instead of one-off gigs, this page explains the job before you pick up the phone.

What the work actually involves

Nearly every job that lands on the 77379 board starts the same way. Somebody bought a television, it is still leaning against the wall in its box, and they want it up and looking like it was always there.

The mounting itself is the fast half. What we are hiring for is the judgement that happens before the first hole: reading the wall, deciding where the bracket can safely live, and working out how power and signal get behind it without opening more drywall than the job needs.

  • Confirm the wall type and find real structure, not just a stud-finder beep.
  • Match the mount to the display and to the seat the customer actually watches from.
  • Run signal inside the wall and bring power across with an in-wall rated recessed kit instead of leaving a cord hanging.
  • Terminate, dress and label anything somebody will have to touch again later.
  • Set the picture to something sane, show the customer the remote, and leave the room cleaner than you found it.

A good number of these calls grow once you are on site. A soundbar appears, a streaming box needs setting up, somebody mentions a doorbell camera at the door. Installers who can scope that honestly and call it in to the office are the ones who stay busy.

A day on the north Harris County route

Spring sits at the top of our service map, so dispatch batches the north side rather than scattering it. A 77379 day is usually a tight cluster between Louetta, Cypresswood and the Champions area, not one long drag across the county.

Mornings begin with a parts check against the ticket list: brackets, in-wall power kits, HDMI in two or three lengths, sealant, and fasteners for both masonry and wood. The first window is normally two hours wide, which gives you room to walk the room, mark the height, and get agreement before anything is drilled.

The rule that protects everyone: no hole gets made until the customer has seen the centre line marked on the wall and said yes to it out loud. Re-hanging a mount because the screen ended up too high is the most expensive avoidable mistake in this trade.

Afternoons are where north-side geography starts to matter. FM 2920 and Louetta thicken up well before five, so second and third stops are booked close together and the day is built to finish ahead of the school-run crush instead of fighting through it.

What 77379 homes throw at you

This ZIP covers a wide span of construction years, and the wall behind the television changes the job far more than the television does.

  • Late 1970s and 1980s brick. Dens in the older Champions-area streets often centre on a full masonry chimney breast. That means hammer drilling into brick or block, sleeve anchors sized for the load, and a realistic conversation about mounting height above a working firebox.
  • 1990s tract two-storeys. Standard wood stud and drywall, usually cooperative, except that the media wall often backs onto a staircase or a closet, which dictates where your cable has to surface.
  • Newer master-planned sections. Many already have a structured panel in a closet and a pre-wire plate above the fireplace. Finding the existing pre-wire instead of cutting a fresh hole is a small skill that customers notice immediately.
  • Attics packed with blown insulation. Pine shade keeps them tolerable early and brutal by two in the afternoon. Long sleeves, a respirator and a route planned before you go up beat improvising in the heat.

Two-storey great rooms also mean tall-wall work. If standing on a ladder well above eight feet inside somebody’s living room is not something you can do safely and steadily, this route is the wrong fit, and it is much better to say so on the phone than halfway up.

The skill floor and the tools you bring

We are not looking for certificate collectors. We are looking for people who can make a clean hole, put the wall back the way they found it, and explain plainly what they did.

Assumed knowledge

  • Reading a wall: stud spacing, fire blocking, what a header feels like on the bit, and when to stop and call rather than guess.
  • Masonry anchoring, including the difference between what holds in brick and what only appears to hold in a mortar joint.
  • Low-voltage fishing with flex bits and glow rods, keeping a run clear of line voltage, and finishing at a plate rather than a ragged slot.
  • Enough display knowledge to leave a working picture: inputs, ARC, soundbar handshake, and the basics of a streaming setup.

What you supply

  • A reliable vehicle with room for ladders and stock.
  • Hand tools, impact driver, hammer drill, a level or laser you trust, and a stud finder you have actually calibrated.
  • Ladders sized for two-storey interior walls, plus floor protection and a vacuum.
  • A phone with a working camera. Before and after photos go into the job file every time.

Anything unusual, an odd bracket or a part that has to be sourced for one specific display, comes from us rather than out of your pocket.

Insurance, licensing and the paperwork side

EVOTECH IT LLC is a licensed and insured low-voltage contractor and has been working across the Houston metro for more than twenty years, with a 5.0-star rating. That standing only survives if everyone carrying our name on a work order clears the same bar.

  • Subcontractors carry their own general liability coverage and hand over a current certificate before the first assignment.
  • A valid Texas driver licence, and insurance that actually covers the vehicle you work out of.
  • Background screening as part of onboarding, because most of this work happens inside occupied homes with children and pets in them.
  • Anything that crosses into cameras, access control or structured cabling is performed under the company licence and supervision, never arranged privately on the side of a mounting call.

Compensation is deliberately not published here. It depends on the scope you take on, the complexity you are comfortable carrying, and your experience, and it is a straightforward conversation during the interview rather than a number on a web page.

How scheduling and dispatch work

Work is offered, not dumped. A ticket goes out with the address, the window, the display size, the wall type when the customer knew it, and whatever note came in at booking. You take it or pass, and passing something you genuinely cannot do well is treated as professionalism rather than a black mark.

Most weeks settle into a rhythm: a block of confirmed residential stops, a couple of same-week additions, and now and then a commercial display that has to happen once a business closes. Spring volume leans toward weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings, simply because that is when people are home to open the door.

Changes reach you the same moment they reach the office. If a customer cancels an hour out, you hear it from dispatch, not from a locked front door.

How to get in touch about work

There is no portal and no automated screening wall. Call (832) 359-2425 and say you are ringing about installer work in Spring, or send your details through the contact page and we will call you back.

Worth having ready: how long you have been mounting, the largest display you have hung and what it went on, whether you already carry liability coverage, what you drive, and which days you can honestly commit to. Photographs of finished work say far more than a resume in this trade. A clean wall with no visible cable is the entire portfolio.

If you are closer to the Fort Bend side of the map, say so. Those routes are staffed separately and we would rather put you where the drive makes sense.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own truck, ladders and tools?
Yes. Installers on this route turn up with a vehicle that fits ladders and stock, their own hand and power tools, and ladders tall enough for two-storey interior walls. We supply specialty brackets, unusual hardware and anything that has to be ordered in for a particular display.
How far outside Spring would I be driving?
Spring anchors the northern end of a map that also covers Houston, Cypress, Katy, Richmond, Fulshear and Sugar Land. Dispatch keeps a day inside one region wherever volume allows, so a 77379 day is normally north-side stops. Longer runs south are offered rather than assigned.
I have never drilled a mount into a brick chimney. Is that a dealbreaker?
Not on its own, provided you say so. Masonry anchoring is teachable in an afternoon to somebody who already handles tools well. Guessing at it on a customer’s fireplace is not teachable at all, so raise it on the call and the first few of those assignments go out paired.
Do you take on helpers as well as lead installers?
Second-person work exists, mostly on tall walls, large-format displays and commercial days where two sets of hands are simply the safe way to lift. It is not a training programme in disguise though. A helper is expected to be useful with tools from the first day.
How is compensation decided?
By scope, complexity and experience, and it is agreed during the interview. We do not post rates because the work runs from a straightforward bedroom mount to a full masonry wall with power and signal relocation, and a single published number would be wrong for both.
