TV Mounting Jobs in Pearland, TX 77584

Pearland sits on the far side of the metro from our Katy base, which is exactly why we want installers who already live and work down here. If you are on the SH 288 corridor and you mount displays properly, there is work worth talking about.

Why we are building an installer bench on the Pearland side

EVOTECH IT LLC is a licensed and insured low-voltage contractor with more than twenty years in the Houston area and a 5.0-star rating. Our roots are on the west side, in Katy, and that is an honest starting point for this page: Pearland is a long way from there, and sending a truck across the whole metro for one bracket is not a sensible way to run either a business or a day.

So the model is different here. Rather than dispatching from the west, we want to contract with installers who already live on this side, already know the difference between Silverlake and Shadow Creek Ranch, and can pick up a cluster of nearby jobs without spending half the day on the freeway. If that describes you, the conversation is a short one.

We are not promising a full calendar on day one, and any contractor who promises that to a stranger is telling you something else. What we can say is that demand on this side is real, we would rather grow it with the right people than the available ones, and work is routed on reliability rather than seniority.

Route density, drive time and the SH 288 corridor

Installers new to subcontracting usually underestimate how much of the job is geography. A day is not made of installs; it is made of installs plus the gaps between them, and the gaps are where the day is won or lost.

  • SH 288 is the spine. It carries 77584 north into the Medical Center and Houston proper and south toward Manvel and Brazoria County. Tolled lanes exist alongside the free ones; whether they are worth it on a given afternoon is a judgment you will make often.
  • Beltway 8 and FM 518. The Sam Houston tollway across the north edge and Broadway Street through the middle of Pearland are the other two arteries, and Broadway backs up predictably around the retail corridor.
  • Clusters beat scatter. We try to group a day’s stops within a sensible radius. Installers who tell us honestly how far they will travel get better-shaped days than ones who claim the whole metro and then decline the far jobs.
  • West Pearland is not central Pearland. 77584 is the western half of the city and reaches toward Manvel and Iowa Colony. Two addresses in the same ZIP can be a genuine fifteen minutes apart.
  • Brazoria County growth. New sections keep opening off Kirby and toward FM 1128, which means navigation apps occasionally have no idea a street exists. Allow margin on brand-new addresses.

Shadow Creek Ranch, Silverlake and west Pearland housing

The homes in 77584 are largely a 1990s-to-present story, and they share features that shape the work.

Master-planned volume

Shadow Creek Ranch and Silverlake dominate much of the ZIP, with newer sections continuing to fill in toward the county line. These are production-built homes in recognizable plan families, which is genuinely useful: once you have mounted in one plan, you have a good idea where the framing, the chase and the media box will be in the next one.

Stone, stucco and brick

Exterior and accent materials here lean heavily on stone veneer, stucco details and brick, and that carries indoors to fireplace surrounds and feature walls. The wall above the firebox is frequently not plain drywall, so masonry anchoring comes up more often than a new-build installer might expect.

Two-story family rooms and game rooms

Tall family rooms and upstairs game rooms are standard in these plans. Both mean height, and height means proper ladder setup rather than a reach from the second-to-top rung.

Covered patios

Outdoor living space is the norm in the newer sections, and patio displays come with their own requirements: a weather-rated bracket, a genuine drip loop, sun-angle judgment, and a frank word with the customer about what humidity and Gulf Coast heat do to consumer electronics left outdoors.

Why getting it level matters more here than customers realize

This region sits on expansive clay soil, and houses on it move with the seasons. That is not a defect story — it is ordinary Gulf Coast construction reality — but it has a direct consequence for anyone hanging a large flat object on a wall.

In an older or settled home, the wall, the ceiling line, the fireplace mantel and the baseboard are frequently not parallel to each other and none of them are reliably level. If you set a panel to the mantel, the customer sees it crooked against the ceiling. If you set it to the ceiling, it looks crooked against the mantel. If you set it to a bubble level and ignore both, it can look wrong in the room even though it is technically perfect.

Handling that well is a conversation, not a trick: show the customer the reference lines, explain that they disagree, and let them choose which one the eye should follow. Installers who do this leave a customer who understands the wall. Installers who silently pick one leave a customer who thinks the TV is crooked. It is the single most common source of avoidable callbacks in houses of this type, and it costs nothing but two minutes of talking.

Bracket choice plays into it too. A mount with post-installation leveling adjustment saves an argument on an out-of-square wall, and knowing which brackets offer it is the kind of practical knowledge we look for.

Running it as a business: W-9, insurance and invoicing

We contract with independent installers and small crews, not employees. Practically, that means you are running a business and we expect it to look like one.

  • W-9 on file before your first dispatch, with the name and tax details that match how you actually invoice.
  • General liability insurance with a current certificate. Work in occupied homes without it is a risk you should not be taking regardless of who is sending you the job.
  • Commercial-use vehicle coverage. A personal auto policy may not respond to a claim while you are working.
  • Clean invoicing. Job reference, date, address, what was actually done. Invoices that arrive complete get processed without a chase.
  • Your own tax handling. Nothing is withheld for you, and setting money aside for it is your responsibility.
  • Documentation habit. Photographs of the finished work protect you far more often than they protect us.

Compensation is agreed during the interview and varies with the scope of the work and your experience. We do not publish rates, and a rate quoted to you before anyone has seen your work is not a real number.

Apply for Pearland-area work

Call (832) 359-2425 or send a message through the contact page. Tell us where in the area you are based, how long you have been mounting displays, whether masonry and outdoor installs are within your normal range, and whether you carry general liability insurance today or would need to arrange it.

We will look at photographs of your finished work — cable management and the wall around the bracket tell us more than the screen does — and if it fits we will start with a few jobs and build from there. Our broader service area covers Katy, Houston, Sugar Land, Richmond, Fulshear, Cypress and surrounding Texas communities, and we also take on network and structured cabling, camera systems, access control and commercial audio-video work. Installers with more than one skill fill more of a week, so mention everything you can do.

Frequently asked questions

How far outside 77584 would I be dispatched?
That is largely your call, and we would rather you set a realistic boundary than accept everything and decline half of it later. Our overall service area spans a wide stretch of the Houston region, but a Pearland-based installer is most useful to us on Pearland-side jobs, and we try to keep a day’s stops within a sensible radius rather than scattered across the metro.
Do I have to live in Pearland to get Pearland work?
No, but it helps enough that it is worth being honest about. The whole reason we are recruiting on this side is drive time. Someone based in Friendswood, Alvin, Manvel or south Houston is in a good position for this work; someone driving in from the far west side is going to spend the day in traffic and neither of us will enjoy that arrangement for long.
Can I take camera or cabling jobs as well as display mounting?
Yes, if you have the background for it. Camera installation, structured cabling, access control and commercial audio-video are all part of what we do, and subcontractors who can cover more than one of them see a steadier mix of work. We will ask what you have actually done rather than what you have read about.
How soon after applying would I see a first job?
It depends entirely on what is coming in on this side when you apply and how quickly your paperwork is complete. Having a W-9 and a current insurance certificate ready removes the usual delay. What we will not do is tell you a volume figure to get you to sign up, because we would be inventing it.
What causes an installer to stop receiving work?
Almost always one of three things: not answering the phone, arriving outside the window without telling anyone, or leaving work that generates repeat callbacks. Skill gaps are manageable — we route around them. Unreliability is not, because the customer experiences it as the company’s failure rather than an individual’s.
