TV Mounting Jobs in Missouri City, TX 77459

One ZIP code, two eras of housing. EVOTECH IT LLC subcontracts display-mounting work across Missouri City, where a 1970s golf-course home and a house finished last spring can sit four minutes apart — and need completely different hands.

Subcontract display-mounting work in Missouri City

EVOTECH IT LLC is a licensed and insured low-voltage contractor that has worked in the greater Houston area for more than twenty years, with a 5.0-star rating. We do not employ a fleet of installers — we contract with independent tradespeople and small crews, and Missouri City is an area where we want more capable hands available.

This page is written for the person doing the work, not the person buying it. It explains what the jobs are like in 77459 specifically, the skills that matter here more than elsewhere, what we expect on paper before a first dispatch, and how to get in touch. Compensation is settled in the interview and depends on scope and experience; we are not going to put a number on a public page and neither should anyone else.

One ZIP code, two completely different houses

Most service areas have a dominant housing type. 77459 does not. It is split, and reading which half you are standing in is the first judgment of the visit.

The older half

Quail Valley and the neighborhoods that grew around the golf courses date to the 1970s, with Lake Olympia and its surroundings following in the eighties and nineties. Expect mature trees, original floor plans, sunken living rooms, full-height brick fireplace walls, occasional textured or plaster finishes, framing that does not always land where a stud finder promises, and no structured wiring whatsoever. Cable paths have to be found rather than assumed.

The newer half

Sienna and the newer developments off Sienna Parkway are modern master-planned construction, much of it from the 2000s onward and some of it finished in the last couple of years. Clean drywall, predictable framing, recessed media boxes above the fireplace, tall ceilings, covered patios and outdoor kitchens.

An installer who is only comfortable in one of those two worlds will turn down roughly half the work in this ZIP. The ones who do best here arrive prepared for either and decide on site.

Brick, stone and plaster: the skill that sorts installers here

The single most common reason a display job in an older Missouri City home goes badly is that the wall is not drywall. Full-brick fireplace faces, stone veneer surrounds and hard-plaster walls are ordinary here, and they punish the habits that work fine in a new build.

  • Anchor into the material, correctly. Masonry needs the right bit, the right sleeve or wedge anchor, the right embedment depth and a hole drilled without hammering a brick face into spalling. Guessing shows up as cracks the customer will photograph.
  • Mortar joint versus brick face. Where you place the fastener is a real decision with real consequences, and the answer is not the same for every wall or every panel weight.
  • No in-wall path. You cannot fish cable through masonry. That means surface raceway, a route around the chase, or an honest conversation with the homeowner about what is and is not possible — before drilling.
  • Heat above a working firebox. Older fireplaces throw more heat up the face than modern sealed units. It is worth raising with the customer rather than discovering in January.
  • Plaster and lath. It cracks if you rush it and it dulls bits quickly. Slow speed, sharp bits, patience.

If masonry mounting is outside what you have done, say so when you apply. We would rather route those jobs to someone who has done a hundred of them and send you the work that fits.

Attics, wall cavities and Fort Bend heat

A meaningful share of cable work in the older half of this ZIP runs through an attic, and Gulf Coast attics in summer are genuinely dangerous rather than merely uncomfortable. Installers who work here are expected to bring water, work the hot hours early, use a light and proper footing on joists, and stop when it is time to stop. No job is worth heat exhaustion.

Wall cavities in older construction bring their own surprises: fire blocking halfway down, insulation packed tight, old coaxial and telephone wiring already occupying the route, and the occasional non-standard stud spacing. Glow rods, a magnet set and a flexible bit earn their place on the truck here far more than they do in a new build.

Newer Sienna-area homes are easier on all of this, but they introduce height instead: two-story family rooms and above-fireplace niches that need a ladder with real reach and a proper setup rather than a stretch from the top rung.

Skills checklist before you apply

Read this honestly. Nothing here is a trick, and overstating your experience only costs you a callback later.

SkillWhy it matters in 77459
Masonry anchoringBrick and stone fireplace walls are standard in the older neighborhoods.
Locating framing without a clean signalOlder walls defeat consumer stud finders regularly.
Attic cable routingFrequently the only viable path in a home with no structured wiring.
Surface raceway finishingWhen in-wall is impossible, the raceway has to look intentional, not apologetic.
Tall-ceiling setupSienna-area family rooms and niches need real ladder reach and safe staging.
Soundbar and source setupMost customers want the audio and the streaming device working before you leave.
Clear customer explanationOlder homeowners in particular want to understand what you did and why.

Safety, insurance and conduct on site

Before a first dispatch we ask for a completed W-9 and a current certificate of general liability insurance, plus confirmation that your vehicle carries appropriate coverage for business use. A Texas low-voltage or electrical license is not required for display mounting, but if you hold one, tell us — it opens scopes we otherwise cannot send you. Anything that touches line voltage goes to a licensed electrician; there is no flexibility in that.

Conduct on site is simple and non-negotiable: shoe covers or clean boots, drop cloths down, no smoking anywhere near the property, no discussion of pricing or company business with the customer, and nothing drilled until the homeowner has agreed the position. If something goes wrong — a cracked tile, a nicked wire, a bracket that will not hold — you call it in the same hour. Problems reported early are handled. Problems discovered later are expensive.

Getting in touch about Missouri City work

Call (832) 359-2425 or use the contact page. Tell us how long you have been installing, whether masonry mounting is in your normal range, whether you carry insurance, and what part of the metro you are actually based in — Fort Bend routes work best with installers who are already on this side of the county.

Beyond display mounting, we take on security camera installation, structured cabling, access control and commercial audio-video work across Katy, Houston, Sugar Land, Richmond, Fulshear, Cypress and surrounding Texas communities. If your experience reaches into any of those, mention it, because mixed skill sets fill a week far more reliably than a single trade does.

Frequently asked questions

How do I mount over a full-brick fireplace without cracking the face?
Sharp masonry bit, correct speed, no hammer action on a brittle face, and fasteners sized and embedded for the panel weight rather than whatever came in the bracket box. Deciding between the brick face and the mortar joint is a judgment call based on the wall and the load. If that paragraph is unfamiliar territory, tell us when you apply and we will route masonry work elsewhere while sending you the jobs that fit.
Does EVOTECH supply the mounts, anchors and cable, or do I?
The ticket specifies it per job. Sometimes the customer has already bought hardware, sometimes we supply it. What you always bring is your own tools, consumables, ladders and vehicle. If you arrive and the supplied hardware is not rated for the panel or the wall, stop and call dispatch instead of making it work.
What if an older home has no usable path for in-wall cable?
It happens regularly in the 1970s housing here, and the answer is never to force it. Options are an attic route, a path through an adjacent closet or chase, or a properly finished surface raceway. Present the options to the homeowner, get agreement, and note the choice on the job. Customers accept a visible raceway they chose; they do not accept one that appeared without discussion.
Do you run background checks on subcontractors?
We ask for identification, a W-9 and an insurance certificate, and we verify the business details you give us. You are going into people’s homes, and anyone unwilling to be identified on paper is not someone we can send to a customer’s address.
Is there work in Missouri City beyond TV mounting?
Yes. The same service area generates camera installations, network and structured cabling, access control and commercial audio-video projects. Installers with broader low-voltage skills get a wider mix of dispatches, which is usually what people are actually asking about when they ask this question.

Comfortable in brick as well as drywall?

That is the skill set Missouri City rewards. Call (832) 359-2425 or send a message and tell us what kind of walls you have been working on.
