TV Installer Jobs in Fulshear, TX 77441

Fulshear went from a farm town to one of Fort Bend County’s fastest-growing addresses in about fifteen years, and the installation work changed with it. EVOTECH IT LLC is looking for installers and low-voltage subcontractors who can handle both halves of that.

The Fulshear service map, seen from a van seat

77441 is a wide ZIP code and it does not look the same from one end to the other. Along FM 1093 and the tollway extension there are large master-planned communities built over the last decade or so, full of new production and semi-custom houses with families still unpacking. Out along FM 359 and the older county roads there is acreage, estate property and a gated golf community with a guardhouse at the front. Both sit on the same route sheet.

The practical consequence is drive planning. A Fulshear day can mean two stops a mile apart followed by a fifteen-minute run down a farm-to-market road. We order routes so you keep moving in one direction, and we count the driving as part of the day rather than pretending it is free.

Fulshear jobs generally pair with Katy, Richmond and Brookshire work, so an installer willing to run the western corridor sees noticeably more volume than one who takes only 77441.

Outdoor and patio installs are a real part of this route

This is the piece of the work that is genuinely different in Fulshear. Covered patios and outdoor kitchens are close to standard in the newer neighborhoods, and a television on the patio stopped being an unusual request some years ago.

Outdoor installs are their own discipline. The display has to be rated for the environment or housed in a proper enclosure. The mount needs corrosion-resistant hardware fastened into structure that can actually carry it, which is often a stone column, a beam or a soffit rather than a stud wall. The cable has to be rated for exposure and the terminations have to be sealed against humidity that never really lets up here. Sun angle matters, because a screen aimed west in this part of Texas is unwatchable at six in the evening in July. Power has to come from a correctly protected exterior circuit, and when that circuit does not exist, that is an electrician’s scope and we say so rather than improvising.

If you have done outdoor audio-video work, put it at the top of your application. It is a short list of people and those jobs go to the names on it.

Gated communities, guardhouses and estate properties

A meaningful share of 77441 addresses sit behind a gate. There is a manned entry at one community, coded vehicle gates at several others, and long private drives on the acreage properties out west.

  • You will be on a visitor list or you will not get in. The homeowner arranges it and you confirm it the day before.
  • Arrive when you said you would. At a guarded entry a late arrival can mean the pass has expired and the entire visit resets.
  • On estate properties expect real distance between the gate and the front door, expect to carry equipment further than you would like, and expect casitas, detached garages and outbuildings to be included in the scope.
  • Photograph the work area before you start. On higher-value properties that record protects you as much as it protects the customer.

Presentation is not a minor detail on these calls. Clean vehicle, clean shirt, shoe covers inside, and no radio playing in somebody’s driveway.

The trade skills that actually get used on these jobs

Mounting into real structure. Stone and brick columns, timber beams, double-height great room walls and the occasional length of steel. You need a hammer drill, the right masonry anchors, and the judgment to recognise when a bracket does not belong where the customer pictured it.

Working at height, safely. Two-story entries and vaulted ceilings are common on these floor plans. That means ladders rated for the job, a second set of hands for a heavy panel, and a willingness to say a job needs two people instead of forcing it.

Cable discipline. These customers notice a wire. In-wall rated cable, proper pathway, plates that sit flush to the surface, and no slack looping behind a console where the dog will find it.

Adjacent low-voltage. A lot of these calls widen into camera coverage for a long driveway or an entry gate, or hardwired network drops because a single router cannot reach the far end of a large house. A tech who can complete that work is worth more to us and is offered more jobs.

Working with us: expectations, insurance and pay

Jobs are offered with the full detail attached: address, display size, wall type where we know it, access notes and exactly what has been promised to the customer. You accept or you pass, and nobody is penalised for passing on something outside their skill set. Once you accept, the customer contact and the finish quality are yours, including the return trip if something is not right.

You bring your own tools, ladders, transportation and consumables. You carry general liability and vehicle insurance and keep the certificate current with us. You clear a background check before your first dispatch. EVOTECH IT LLC is a licensed and insured low-voltage contractor with more than twenty years in the field and a five-star customer rating, and the way that gets protected is by being selective about who we send into a house.

Compensation is discussed in the interview. It varies with the scope, the complexity of the property and your experience, and we would rather agree on it with a real job in front of us than advertise a figure that does not match the work you are actually being asked to do.

Apply for installer work in Fulshear

Call (832) 359-2425 and tell whoever answers that you are calling about installer work in Fulshear, or write to us through the contact page.

What to include: how long you have been in the trade, the kind of properties you are used to working in, whether you have outdoor or high-ceiling experience, the tools and vehicle you own, your insurance status, and the days you can actually commit to. If you have photographs of finished work, send two or three. They answer more questions than a resume does.

We also handle television mounting across Katy, Houston, Sugar Land, Richmond and Cypress, so willingness to travel beyond one ZIP code matters a great deal. Tell us how far you are prepared to drive and we will build a route that makes sense for both sides.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need outdoor television experience to apply?
No, but it helps and it gets you on a shorter list. Patio and outdoor kitchen installs come up often in this part of Fort Bend County, and techs who understand rated equipment, sealed terminations and sun angle are the ones those jobs go to.
How do I get into the gated communities out here?
Access is arranged by the homeowner, who puts you on the visitor list or supplies the gate code. Confirm it the day before and arrive inside your window, because a guarded entry will not improvise for a late installer.
Is there enough work in 77441 to justify the drive?
Fulshear is rarely a stand-alone route. We bundle it with Katy, Richmond and Brookshire jobs so the driving pays for itself, which is why willingness to cover the western corridor matters more than living in the ZIP.
Do you need installers on weekends?
Weekend and evening availability is useful because many of these households can only be home outside business hours. Tell us honestly what you can keep, and we will route around it rather than book something you will have to cancel.
What insurance do you require from a subcontractor?
General liability coverage plus your own vehicle insurance, with a current certificate on file before your first job and updated when it renews. This is asked of everyone and it is not waived for a single call.
