TV Mount Subcontractor Jobs in Fulshear, TX 77441
Fulshear can hand you a gated estate, a working ranch and a two-month-old master-planned house in the same afternoon. EVOTECH IT LLC partners with independent low-voltage tradespeople who can carry that range and behave the same way on all three properties.
Is subcontracting for us a fit for your business?
Before the territory and the technical detail, the honest version of what this arrangement is and is not.
It fits you if you already run your own installation business, or are serious about starting one; you want somebody else to find the customers, write the scopes and handle the money; you would rather be judged on finished work than on a resume; and you are comfortable being the only representative of a twenty-year-old company that a family sees that day.
It does not fit you if you are looking for a salary and a truck, if you want guaranteed hours, or if you would rather negotiate directly with the homeowner in the driveway. Those are all legitimate ways to work. They are just not this one.
Fulshear specifically asks for a slightly different temperament than the rest of the metro. The properties are larger, the clients are exacting, and the distance between two consecutive addresses can be fifteen minutes even without traffic. Subs who like being trusted with a whole property for a whole morning do well here. Subs chasing the maximum number of stops in a day usually do not.
Inside 77441: three different Fulshears on one map
The ZIP reaches a long way either side of FM 1093, and the character changes completely as you move across it.
The master-planned west
Large modern communities built out over the past fifteen years, with amenity centres, lakes, trails and a continuous stream of new residents. Conventional framing, generous ceiling heights, covered outdoor living on nearly every plan, and association rules that apply to anything visible outdoors.
The gated and golf-adjacent
Guarded entrances, custom builds on larger lots, and interiors where the wall behind the screen might be plaster, stone, panelled millwork or a cabinetry surround built by someone whose invoice the owner still remembers. These are the jobs where a mounting plate hidden inside a joinery reveal, dead-level and with no visible cable, is the entire point.
Old town and the acreage
Toward FM 359 and the older heart of Fulshear the lots get bigger and the buildings get more varied: ranch houses, additions, guest quarters, metal shops and barns behind the main residence. Long private drives, livestock gates, satellite dishes older than the installer, and often a request to get a screen out to a shop or a covered arena where nobody planned for one. Newer retail and professional buildings along the 1093 corridor add a thin but steady line of small commercial scopes.
Plan your day around the geography rather than the clock. Two of these three Fulshears in one afternoon is realistic. All three is optimistic.
Covered patios are a real share of this route
Outdoor living is close to standard equipment in this part of Fort Bend, so a meaningful slice of the work is under a patio roof rather than inside the house. It is a different discipline and it is worth being blunt about what changes.
- The display and the mount must be rated for it. An indoor screen under a covered patio is a warranty claim waiting to be denied. Equipment is specified on the order; if what is on site does not match, that is a call to the office.
- Sun angle beats wall choice. The wall the customer points at in the morning may face straight into the afternoon glare. Say so before you drill, not afterwards.
- Substrate is stone, stucco or a timber column. Each takes a different anchor, and a stucco face that spalls because somebody rushed the bit is a visible repair on the most photographed part of the house.
- Every exterior penetration gets sealed properly. Correct sleeve, correct drip loop, correct sealant, done to survive a Gulf Coast summer and the storms that come with it.
- Weather owns the schedule. Outdoor work reschedules, and subs who take it personally when an afternoon vanishes find this route frustrating.
Solo installer, two-person team, or your own small crew
We contract with all three. The difference is simply what we can route to you.
| How you work | What you get offered | What we need from you |
|---|---|---|
| Solo | Standard rooms, patios within safe reach, service calls and remounts | Honest limits on height and display weight, and a willingness to decline rather than improvise |
| You plus a regular helper | Great-room walls, heavy screens, estate rooms, longer cable runs | Your helper covered by your policy and held to your conduct standard |
| Your own small crew | Whole-property scopes, multi-room days, cabling and camera work alongside the mount | One named point of contact, and the same finished standard on every truck you send |
Nobody is pushed up this table. A careful solo installer who declines what is beyond safe reach is worth considerably more to us than a crew that says yes to everything and returns for half of it.
Conduct on these properties, and what ends an agreement
The contractor licence, the insurance, the two decades of Houston-area work since roughly 2004 and the 5.0-star rating attached to the EVOTECH name all arrive at a client’s house inside one person: whoever is standing in the room that morning. On an estate property that is felt acutely, so the expectations are spelled out rather than assumed.
- Arrive when you said, in a vehicle and clothing a client is not embarrassed to have on their drive, and give your name and the company’s at the door.
- Protect what you walk on and work over. Floor covering, shoe covers, and furniture moved with permission rather than nudged aside.
- Stay in the room you were invited into. No wandering, no photographs of anything but the work, and nothing about a client’s home discussed anywhere else.
- Route every scope change, price question and add-on request back to the office. You are never the person quoting at the door — a rule that protects you first.
- Leave the property cleaner than the job made it, and show the client how everything works before you go.
What actually ends a subcontract agreement, in order of how often we see it: going silent on a job that was already accepted; hiding damage instead of reporting it the same day; letting an insurance certificate lapse and working anyway; and approaching our customers directly for private work. None of those involve a difficult wall. They are all choices.
Start the conversation about Fulshear work
Call (832) 359-2425 and say you are a low-voltage or mounting sub interested in the Fulshear area, The contact page works just as well if you would rather set it out in writing.
Worth mentioning early: whether you have done outdoor and patio installs, whether gated and estate properties are familiar territory, how you are set up for insurance, whether you work alone or with a team, and whether you also take on cabling or camera scopes — on large lots those frequently ride along with the mount.
Compensation is settled during that interview, where it belongs — measured against the work you actually agree to carry and the depth of experience behind it. Anything else is a number invented for a web page rather than agreed with a tradesperson.
