TV Installation Subcontractor Work in Cypress 77433

77433 is where the new rooftops are. Bridgeland, Towne Lake, Cypress Creek Lakes and the master-planned sections still filling in around them hand you a very particular kind of ticket: a house that is a few months old, a builder pre-wire that is nearly in the right place, and an owner who will notice every mark on the paint. EVOTECH IT LLC needs installers whose finish work survives that scrutiny.

Brand-new houses change the whole job

Almost everything in this ZIP was framed recently, and a lot of it is still being framed. That has three consequences for an installer, and all three arrive on the same ticket.

First, timing. Families close, move in and want the living room finished that weekend. A large share of 77433 orders land within a few weeks of a move-in date, which means boxes in the hallway, no furniture to work around, and a customer who is exhausted and grateful when somebody competent turns up on time.

Second, the builder pre-wire. The recessed media box behind the niche will be there, and it will usually be close to right — but close is measured in inches, and a full-motion mount on a seventy-five-inch panel does not care about intent. You will spend real time deciding whether to work with the plate where it sits, extend from it, or bring the office in because the customer wants it genuinely relocated.

Third, what is missing. New houses in this market are frequently pre-wired for low voltage behind the display and not for power. Knowing the difference between a listed in-wall power relocation kit and improvising with an extension cord is table stakes here, and we check that you know it before your first ticket.

Fourth and last, the fireplace detail that is specific to new construction: many of these plans put a linear gas firebox directly below the media niche. Treat the manufacturer’s clearance as the authority, not the fact that the builder framed a recess above it.

The finish standard on a house that is three months old

This is the single biggest reason installers do not last on the 77433 board. In a fifteen-year-old house, a slightly oversized hole behind a plate disappears into history. In a house still under builder warranty, with paint the owner can still smell, every mark is a phone call.

What we expect as normal practice, not exceptional effort:

  • Drop cloths down before tools come in, and a vacuum at the bit on every hole through finished gypsum.
  • Holes cut to the plate, not to the reach of whatever bit was already in the driver.
  • Shoe covers in a house where the floors are new. Ask nothing, just do it.
  • A walk of the work area with the owner before you start, so pre-existing dings are documented and not inherited.
  • Nothing cut, drilled or modified that could plausibly fall under the builder’s warranty without the office clearing it first. Structure, exterior envelope and anything near the mechanical chases go through us.

The close-out photo set is part of the deliverable, not an afterthought: the mounted display level and square, the cable path, the plate and the surrounding wall clean. Those photographs are what we show the customer when a question comes up three months later.

Gates, guest lists, narrow streets and amenity buildings

Master-planned Cypress has its own logistics, and an installer who ignores them burns their arrival window in the first ten minutes.

Sections with controlled entry need the homeowner to register you in advance — tell dispatch when you accept the ticket so the customer can be prompted, rather than sitting at a call box while the next job slides. Where there is an attendant, expect to show identification and to be asked who you are with; answer plainly and professionally.

Street parking in newer sections is genuinely tight. Driveways are short, kerbs are often restricted, and blocking a neighbour’s access in a community this new is the fastest way to generate a complaint that reaches us before you have left. Park on the customer’s drive where you can, and ask where they would prefer if you cannot.

There is also a commercial layer in these communities that residential-only installers overlook: amenity centres, clubhouses, fitness rooms, welcome centres and leasing offices. Those tickets involve multiple displays, higher mounting positions, conduit or raceway, and a facilities contact rather than a homeowner. If you can work to that standard, say so — the board for it is real and the pool of installers who want it is small.

The agreement, the checks, and how a ticket reaches you

Installers are engaged as independent contractors and invoice per completed ticket. On file before your first job: a current general liability certificate with EVOTECH IT LLC as certificate holder, a signed W-9, a valid Texas driver’s licence with vehicle insurance, and a completed background check. Communities with controlled access are a further reason that last item is not negotiable.

Dispatch is straightforward. Tickets go out with the scope, the address, the arrival window and photographs where the customer supplied them. You accept or decline — declining a job that does not suit your day is fine and is not held against you; accepting one and then not turning up is a different matter entirely. Scope changes on site go back to the office for pricing before any extra work begins, so the customer never hears two numbers.

Compensation is agreed at the interview and reflects the scope you take and the experience you bring. We do not publish rates, we do not advertise income, and we would be suspicious of any company that did for work this variable.

Applying for 77433 work

Call (832) 359-2425 or reach us through the contact form. Tell us what you drive, how you handle oversized panels, whether you have worked in new construction before, whether you are comfortable with a listed in-wall power kit, and how your week actually looks — weekend and early-evening availability matters most here, because that is when new owners are home.

EVOTECH IT LLC has been a licensed, insured low-voltage contractor for more than twenty years and holds a 5.0-star rating across Katy, Cypress, Houston, Sugar Land, Richmond and Fulshear. We would rather start you with one ticket and build from there than hand a stranger a full week and hope. Installers who take that first job seriously usually do not stay short of work.

Frequently asked questions

The builder’s pre-wire plate is in the wrong place. Am I allowed to move it?

Not on your own initiative. Work from the plate where it is, or extend from it properly, and if the customer genuinely wants it relocated, call the office so it is scoped, priced and agreed before any new opening is cut. Houses under builder warranty are exactly where an unrecorded change becomes somebody’s problem later.

Do I need an electrician for a recessed outlet behind the screen?

Our subcontractors do not run new branch circuits. The normal solution is a listed in-wall power relocation kit, which is designed for this and keeps the installation compliant. If the customer wants a genuine new outlet, that comes back to the office to be scheduled with a licensed electrician.

What exactly do you want in the close-out photographs?

The finished display straight on, a level or reference shot, the cable path or plate, and a wide shot of the tidy work area. If you found or fixed anything unexpected, photograph it before and after. Those images ride with your invoice.

Can I take amenity centre and clubhouse tickets if I mostly do houses?

Yes, provided you are comfortable working to a facilities contact’s schedule and to a commercial finish — proper raceway or conduit, higher mounting positions, and cable management that somebody will inspect. Mention your commercial experience when you apply and we will start you accordingly.

How quickly am I expected to respond to an offered ticket?

Promptly, because most of these customers are waiting on a confirmed window. A quick decline is far more useful to us than a slow acceptance, and it costs you nothing in future offers.

Is there work here outside of new move-ins?

Yes. As these communities mature there are upgrades, room additions, outdoor patio displays, home-office setups and the amenity-building work described above. The move-in rush is the front door to this territory, not the whole of it.

Does your finish work hold up in a house that still smells of paint?

If the answer is yes, we would like to talk. Call (832) 359-2425 or apply through the contact form for the Cypress 77433 board.
